Map My Crop company has expressed its interest to work in collaboration with Odisha Government

Today, representatives of Map My Crop made a presentation to Deputy Chief Minister, Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Empowerment and Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at the conference hall of Lok Seva Bhavan. During this presentation, Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Director Agriculture, Shri Premachandra Chaudhary, Director Horticulture, Shri Nikhil Pawan Kalyan were present and gave their insightful feedback.
Odisha is a disaster-prone state. Every year, natural disasters like cyclones, unseasonal rains, floods, sea storms occur here and the farmers were the highest sufferers of this. They bear the most losses. This also leads to crop loss due to pests, diseases and other infections. In addition to dealing with all these, Map My Crop Company showcased its expertise in providing information well in advance of disasters, providing information about crop damage in the post-disaster period through satellite imagery, and providing detailed information about the location of farmland and what crop has been cultivated there, the crop health of any area at any time.
Currently, in the agriculture sector of Odisha, mapping of farmland and crops is being done with the help of digital technology using Agri Stack App.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singhdeo said that the Odisha government is always trying to increase the income of farmers by using digital technology in the agriculture sector.
