The Bow Valley Gap Wildlife Overpass, completed in 2024, stretches roughly 200 feet and is layered with soil, native plants, and fencing to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest.
The bridge provides a safe passage for moose, deer, bears, elk, and other wildlife, effectively reconnecting fragmented habitats. Since its opening, collision rates for deer and elk have dropped by 80–96%, safeguarding both animals and drivers.
