Veena Praveenar Singh, fondly known as Veena, has scripted history by becoming the first Indian-origin and non-Thai winner of Miss Universe Thailand 2025. Born on April 16, 1996, in Chiang Mai, Veena finally claimed the crown this August representing Saraburi, after near-misses as runner-up in 2018, 2020, and 2023.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies from Thammasat University, she will now carry Thailand’s sash at Miss Universe 2025.
Veena’s personal journey also breaks barriers—she was married in 2022 to Thai-Indian businessman Hanchareon Singthakwal, but the couple divorced in 2024. This makes her the first Miss Universe Thailand winner to have been previously married and divorced.
