Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo calls upon entrepreneurs to participate in the development of agriculture
17 MoUs and investment agreements worth Rs 1289 crore signed

The first session of the second day of the two-day Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha conclave-2025 was held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on the topic ‘Agri and Food Processing Industry – An Ecosystem for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Odisha’.
A total of 17 MoUs were signed during the session and investors have agreed to invest around Rs 1279 crore.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers “Empowerment, Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo while addressing the investors in the session said that to fulfill the goal of Viksit Bharat, we have to build a Viksit Odisha. For this, it is necessary to establish organic farming, climate resilient agriculture and food processing industry. There should be growth in everything from agriculture to market prices. Therefore, you should make Odisha a leading state by investing in Odisha, especially in agriculture and allied sectors.
Minister of Fisheries and Animal Research Development, MSME Shri Gokulananda Mallick said that Odisha is an agrarian state and full of potential. Odisha’s performance in agriculture, vegetables, spices etc. is remarkable. More investment will further strengthen Odisha.
Minister of Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Rural Development, Shri Rabinarayan Naik said that ORMAS, Odisha Livelihood Mission is strengthening the rural economy of Odisha. Entrepreneurs should come forward to strengthen it further.
A cold storage brochure was released by the guests. Officially, the scheme of opening 58 cold storages has been implemented from today. On the occasion, the state government signed MoUs with 17 companies. This has paved the way for investment of Rs 1289 crore. A coffee table book on FPO was released.
Under the Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana(MKUY), a subsidy of up to 50 percent is being provided to entrepreneurs for setting up various businesses and enterprises.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee delivered the welcome address while Director, Agriculture, Shri Prem Chandra Chaudhary proposed the vote of thanks. Director Horticulture Mr. Nikhil Pawan Kalyan and Director Industries Dr. Prashant Kumar Reddy were present in the session.
