Authorities have issued high alert warnings in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula due to rising water levels in the Ghaggar River and Sukhna Lake. The Mohali administration has urged villagers in the Dera Bassi subdivision to remain vigilant and avoid crossing swollen causeways. The gates of Sukhna Lake have been opened twice this monsoon season to manage the water levels.
