HP Tourism Development Corporation to Suspend Online Booking for 13 Hotels from November 1
The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced that online bookings for 13 of its hotels will be suspended starting November 1. The decision comes amid preparations to hand over 14 hotels to private management and following a strict directive from the Himachal High Court regarding 18 loss-making hotels.
HPTDC Managing Director Rajiv Kumar issued an official notice stating that all concerned hotel in-charges must manage existing advance bookings and inform guests about the changes to avoid inconvenience. The move aims to improve guest services and streamline management.
All HPTDC marketing offices have been notified, and the announcement has been posted on the corporation’s official website. HPTDC’s annual business is approximately ₹109 crore, with ₹168 crore in outstanding receivables and around ₹40 crore in liabilities yet to be settled.
