International Film Festival of Shimla will Host Exclusive Screenings ‘BACHPAN’ for Children on the sidelines of Main screenings
The International Film Festival of Shimla (IFFS) is delighted to announce an exciting and exclusive initiative for children ‘BACHPAN’ during its upcoming edition. Over the course of three days, the iconic Gaiety Theatre in Shimla will become a hub of cinematic wonder and creativity, hosting a series of special screenings and interactive sessions dedicated solely to young audiences.
The IFFS has curated a diverse and enriching program specifically for children, featuring short, documentaries, animation and feature films that span various genres, cultures, and themes. These films have been carefully selected to not only entertain but also to educate and inspire young viewers. By showcasing a wide array of storytelling styles and cultural perspectives, the festival aims to broaden the horizons of its young audience and instill a lifelong appreciation for the art of cinema.
The majestic Gaiety Theatre, a historic cultural landmark in Shimla, will host these special screenings in Gothic Theatre from 10am to 7pm on 16 to 18 August 2024. This venue, with its rich heritage and vibrant ambiance, provides the perfect setting for children to immerse themselves in the world of cinema. Each day of the festival will feature multiple screenings, ensuring that children have ample opportunity to experience the magic of films.
In addition to the screenings, the IFFS is offering a unique opportunity for children to engage directly with the filmmakers. “The 10th Edition of International Film Festival of Shimla will be held from 16th to 18th August, 2024 in the historic Gaiety Theater Shimla. The festival is being organized by Himalayan Velocity in collaboration with the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India, Department of Language & Culture (LAC) Government of Himachal Pradesh has gained immense popularity in the past years.
