MoU signed for Chatbot Application
BMC to keep up smart pace for its citizens
Bhubaneswar, 15th Jan 2025: The city authority today has signed the MOU on Chatbot Application for citizens. To acclimatize the city dwellers in a smart way to get information they need about Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and get use of it for their requirements; a WhatsApp Chatbot Application will be dedicated for the purpose. BMC in collaboration with IndusInd Bank and PeLocal Fintech Private limited will carryout the proposed facility.
The event took place in presence of Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Sulochana Das and Commissioner Sri Rajesh Prabhakar Patil.
In partnership with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), IndusInd Bank, and PeLocal Fintech Private Limited, a transformative digital solution has been developed to enhance citizen engagement and service delivery. The project introduces a WhatsApp Chatbot Application, accessible through a dedicated WhatsApp number published by BMC. This innovative platform enables citizens to conveniently access and manage various municipal services, including; Payment of property taxes and trade licenses, Collection of user fees for services like birth and death certificates along with addressing and resolving grievances with ease.
Further, in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), IndusInd Bank, and Emertech RND Solutions Private Limited, a Market/Vending Zone Rental Collection Application has been developed to revolutionize the way municipal rental collections. This will be helpful in streamlining rental collection processes for markets and vending zones.
BMC is endeavouring for smart solutions to provide better facility to its citizens for better community participation in the city development, said Hon’ble Mayor.
Commissioner told, “user friendly and familiar applications like WhatsApp can engage people for meaningful requirements. Perceiving the same, BMC has signed the projects for easing public requirements. This is also a community driven approach where people can get solutions of their requirements /issues”.
Other dignitaries like Additional Commissioner Mr. Suvendu Kumar Sahu, Addl. Commissioner Sri Ratnakar Sahoo, Indusind Bank side State Head Mr. Arup Mohapatra, Regional Head Mr.Prasant Goud, State Technical Head Subhasish Sahoo and Emerate Solution pvt.ltd. head Mr. Santosh Reddy were present on the occasion.
The event audience include corporators and officers of BMC along with personnels of partnering agencies. Sri Ajay Kumar Mohanty DC Revenue BMC coordinated the MoU process.
