Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil announces a major initiative to equip all state health institutions with world-class diagnostic machines, aiming to enhance healthcare services and ensure timely, quality treatment for all citizens.
SHIMLA – In a significant move set to revolutionize healthcare across Himachal Pradesh, Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil has announced that all health institutions in the state will soon be equipped with world-class diagnostic equipment. The decision was formalized during the 5th Board meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation Limited (HPMSCL), presided over by the minister here today.
A Commitment to Quality Healthcare
Reiterating the state government’s unwavering dedication to providing timely and superior healthcare services to the public, Dr. Shandil emphasized the importance of advanced medical technology. He assured that the procurement of high-tech diagnostic machines is a top priority, which will significantly improve the quality and speed of health services available to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
“Our goal is to ensure that every citizen has access to the best possible medical care without delay,” stated Dr. Shandil. “Equipping our hospitals and health centers with advanced machinery is a critical step towards achieving that vision.”

During the high-level meeting, the Health Minister issued clear directives to the officials to expedite the purchasing process for all necessary machinery and equipment required by various health institutions. This fast-tracked approach aims to minimize delays and ensure that the benefits of the new technology reach the public as soon as possible.

Dr. Shandil also took the opportunity to commend the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation Limited for its exemplary performance. He praised the Corporation for its transparent and efficient procurement of quality medicines, medical consumables, and equipment, which has been instrumental in strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by the Managing Director of the Corporation, Divyanshu Singal.
The strategic meeting was attended by key decision-makers, including Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, Special Secretary Finance Vijay Wardhan, Director of Medical Education Dr. Rakesh Sharma, and Director of Health Services Dr. Gopal Beri, underscoring the collective commitment to this major healthcare upgrade.
