Nikshay Shivir Organized at Chandigarh Railway Station

A Ni-kshay Shivir was successfully conducted under the supervision of the State TB Cell, Chandigarh at the Chandigarh Railway Station to screen and identify individuals with presumptive symptoms of Tuberculosis (TB). The initiative witnessed active participation from travellers, making it an effective platform to screen individuals entering or leaving Chandigarh as well as platform staff members as well as porters who are at risk of getting infected.
On-the-spot chest X-rays and CBNAAT tests were conducted for those exhibiting TB symptoms to ensure accurate diagnosis. Additionally, Cy-TB tests were administered to individuals suspected of having latent TB infection.
Ni-kshay Pledge was also administered to all those present at the camp site. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in the elimination of TB, reaching diverse populations and addressing potential cases early.
Key Attendees included Dr. Rajesh Rana and Dr. Neeti Nisha Jha (Medical Officer- Railway Station), Dr. Maneer (Medical Officer- State TB Cell), Mr. Shekhar Sharma (TB/HIV Supervisor) along with other healthcare professionals.
