Aleksandra Miroslaw wasn’t messing around in the women’s speed event qualification round on the first day of sport climbing at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
The Polish athlete broke her own world record – twice – and by default her Olympic Record, securing a time of 6.21 in her first timed run, then 6.06 in her second, to better the mark set before Paris of 6.24 in the former, and 6.84 in the latter.
The two-time world champion from 2018 and 2019 then progressed through the following knockout round, against Aniya Holder of South Africa.
