Rajesh Khullar, a 1988-batch IAS officer from Haryana, brings extensive administrative experience to his new role. Before his appointment as Delhi’s LG, Khullar served as the Chief Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, a position he has held since October 2024 . His tenure in Haryana has been marked by his reputation as a tough taskmaster, known for streamlining government operations and ensuring timely delivery of welfare schemes .

Vinai Kumar Saxena: Reassigned to Jammu and Kashmir
Vinai Kumar Saxena, who served as Delhi’s LG since May 2022, has been reassigned to Jammu and Kashmir. Saxena, a former chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, was appointed Delhi’s LG following the resignation of his predecessor, Anil Baijal. His tenure in Delhi was characterized by efforts to strengthen the administration and address various governance challenges
His reassignment to J&K is part of a broader administrative reshuffle aimed at addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in the region.
