Nation News, Kurukshetra. Pehowa Assembly constituency has been suffering from neglect and stagnation in terms of development for a long time. The continuous absence of the MLA has left the people of the constituency unclaimed. Development work has come to a standstill, government schemes are cold, and the voice of the common people is being suppressed.
In this sequence, youth leader Dr. Jaswinder Khaira attended a program organized in Pehowa city today, where he reached the inauguration of the new clothing showroom started by Sangam Saini and congratulated him. He said that the coming forward of such young entrepreneurs is a good sign for the local economy and employment. Talking to the media after the program,
Dr. Khaira made a serious comment on the political situation of the area and said that “the people of Pehowa are feeling helpless due to the absence of the MLA. This constituency is no longer the private property of any one person, but is the shared heritage of the entire area, whose development is the right of every citizen.” Dr. Khaira clearly said, “When the public representatives distance themselves from the public, the public will have to come forward themselves. Together we will revive this abandoned constituency. I will go to every village, street and locality and stand with the people, convey their problems to the government and fight the battle of development with full force.”
He also added that no more waiting will be tolerated on basic issues like education, health, roads, water and employment. “The time has passed when leaders were seen only in election years, now the public needs such a leadership that is among them every day, listens to them every moment.” Local people, businessmen and youth also welcomed this public relations and activism of Dr. Khaira and said that now Pehowa needs an active, grassroots and accountable leadership, which does not just sit on the chair, but performs its duties. Dr. Khaira finally said, “Pehowa should not be allowed to remain an ‘unclaimed constituency’. It has to be made an aware, strong and developing constituency – and for this we stand with the public with full loyalty and commitment.”
