the Women Cell of St Bede’s College in collaboration with
Unicharm India and Globalhunt Foundation had organised an online webinar on
Menstrual Health and Hygiene. A CSR Executive of Unicharm India, Mrs. Nitya
Chaudhary was the resource person of the day. Not only did she enlighten the audience
about the importance of menstrual hygiene but also provided invaluable information and
practical advice to the young ladies. This was an appreciable move in breaking down
the stigma which is often associated with menstruation. The webinar witnessed an
active participation from the college students, who were also involved in a question and
answer round. This webinar would prove to be a pivotal move in bringing about a
change in the general perception about menstruation.
