Addressed the 3rd National Mining Ministers’ Conference in Konark, Odisha.
Highlighted the indispensable role of the mining sector in realizing Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of AatmanirbharBharat and Viksit Bharat.
Also underscored the sector’s remarkable transformation driven by the reforms of the Modi Government, leading to a 70% growth in coal production and increased investment. These reforms have positioned mining as a key contributor to India’s economic and infrastructure development.
Emphasized the importance of focusing on critical minerals essential for economic growth & national security. Urged state governments to expedite exploration, auctions, and production of minerals while adopting sustainable practices, ensuring transparency, and boosting investments.
Their cooperation and support are paramount to reducing India’s import dependence and making it a global hub for Critical Minerals.
The conference was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha. It also witnessed the participation of State Mining Ministers, senior officials from Mines MinIndia, representatives from state mining ministries, and other stakeholders from 26 states.
