📰 News Story:
New Delhi, India | October 2, 2025 – A major complaint has been filed before the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against an alleged fraudulent trading platform operating under the name BTC Dana, which is reportedly involved in forex trading scams, fund manipulation, and large-scale investor fraud across India.
According to the complaint, BTC Dana is misleading Indian investors through unauthorized forex and crypto trading schemes, promising high returns on investments. However, several users have alleged that their funds are being diverted to unknown bank accounts and third-party wallets, raising serious concerns of money laundering and financial manipulation.
“The platform is not registered with RBI or SEBI and appears to be violating multiple Indian financial regulations including FEMA, PMLA, and provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” the complaint states.
Complainants have urged the MHA and ED to initiate a detailed investigation, freeze bank accounts, and block access to the fraudulent platform in India.
Key allegations include:
Fake profit dashboards to lure investors.
Unauthorized fund transfers via UPI and bank accounts.
High-pressure tactics demanding extra “unlock fees” or “taxes” before withdrawal.
Lack of regulatory approval from RBI or SEBI.
Experts warn that platforms like BTC Dana exploit the lack of awareness among retail investors and use digital advertising and referral marketing to expand their reach.
The complaint urges authorities to act swiftly to:
Launch a financial probe under ED supervision.
Freeze associated accounts and payment gateways.
Issue public advisories warning citizens about such scams.
Victims are encouraged to report similar frauds on the official portal www.cybercrime.gov.in and contact their nearest cyber police station for immediate action.
⚠️ Public Alert:
If you have invested in BTC Dana or similar platforms, refrain from transferring additional funds and immediately report the transactions to your bank, cyber cell, and ED for investigation.
